The life expectancy of someone who sleeps rough is 42 years.

(The national average for males is 74, females is 79)

 

 

 

 

165,000 households are classed as

    homeless in England.

     That is 400,000 individuals.

 

 

 

 

 

Homeless charity Crisis say that homelessness is …..

     "the problem faced by people who lack a place to live that is supportive, affordable, decent and secure.”

 

 

 

 

 

The homeless charity Shelter say that….

“To be without a home is unacceptable. It is degrading and damaging to individuals and the community and has enormous social and economic costs for us all.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

  The Church of England say that a home is….…         “a place where people can

grow and make choices”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Across the country, at least two thousand people

sleep rough every night.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Whilst most people would believe that the largest UK homeless population are in London, two thirds of all people sleeping rough are outside of the capital.
