Welcome to Friends of the Homeless

Since 2003, The Friends have operated the Fareham and Gosport Basics Bank project, providing free food parcels to anyone in crisis. Since that time we have helped over 6000 people. This year the demand has been greater than ever.

We are totally dependant on voluntary donations and very grateful for any assistance. We would be very pleased to receive any donations of food, toiletries, nappies, toys or children’s clothing at our centre during opening hours.  > Find out more here <

In the last twelve months the Basics Bank has provided a weeks worth of free food to over 1500 people in our area going through a period of crisis.

Bags Filled With Love

The last 12 months has seen an unprecedented demand in requests for help, resulting in over four thousand carrier bags being used to provide the food. This demand has exhausted our supply and we now urgently need to restock. Please put your unwanted bags into the letter box at the Fareham Basics Bank.
