Can You Help?

We are totally dependant on voluntary donations and very grateful for any assistance. We would also be very pleased to receive any donations of food, toiletries, nappies, toys or children’s clothing at our centre during opening hours. Unfortunately we are unable to make use of fresh produce. The items that we are often in need of are UHT milk, cereals, tinned meats (such as minced beef, stew, curry etc), tinned vegetables (such as potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, sweetcorn and peas), coffee, tea and squash, sugar, jam, packets of cup soups, toilet rolls, toiletries (such as toothpaste, tooth brushes, razors, deodorants, shampoo, shower gel), nappies, sanitary towels, washing powder and washing-up liquid.   > Please contact us here should you wish to make a donation <

Join The Team?

The Friends of the Homeless and the Fareham and Gosport Basics Bank project are a Christian based organisation, with many of our volunteers coming from the local churches. However, we are very pleased to welcome anyone with a caring heart and willing hands as a volunteer.

We appreciate any help that you may be able to offer and this could be in a number of ways. It could be that you are able to spare a couple of hours once a week or may be able to help on an irregular basis to cover for people on holiday or sick. We also require assistance with secretarial work, fund raising and maintenance work at the centre.

As we are responsible for the wellbeing of our clients, we will ask you to complete a simple application form where we will require the name and address of a professional person to act as a referee. We reserve the right to decline your offer.
